
We all know that since 1998 has closed the services Yahoo Mail POP Mail them unless you upgrade your account to Yahoo Mail Plus service, but with Motorola phones Droid we can install Yahoo Mail to mobile phone. How to grab yahoo mail on your phone? See videos and instructions below
Here are the steps:
- Make sure that the WiFi is turned off.
- Click the E-Mail icon (this is Android E-Mail applications )
- Enter your Yahoo e-mail address and password
- Select “Manual Setup” on the left bottom of the screen
- For “Incoming Server Settings” select the IMAP server “imap.mail.yahoo.com” and enter the port to 143
- For the “Outgoing Server Settings” select the SMTP Server to “smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com” and enter the port to 587
- click on “Require sign in” and select Next
- Choose, how often the device Droid checking e-mail, and select the default options
- Give your account name and specify a name for outgoing messages
Now Android phone has been able to pull e-mails from Yahoo.

hi!
it is not going beyond the checking incoming server settings and pops up wrong username / pwd.
please advice. I am using xperia x10.

Hi Guys, I’m using X10 too, and had a similar problem. But I tried again today and it worked! After you hit the IMAP button, just retype your Username and pass. and follow the steps, just as in the video.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you… this is awesome, worked first time on my X10, was getting VERY frustrated that I couldn’t access my account and there was no way I was transferring to gmail!

Thanks and as said before this is for the first time yahoo account has worked on my Xperia X10 mini. All good now and can access yahoo emails on my phone, Thank you again….

After much struggle i am now able to connect with the Yahoo server for my push email function on Xperia X10.
,before anyone tries setting-up Yahoo push email (Or any other Push email),One must tick the box of “Allow third party application” under “APPLICATION”..icon in the SETTINGS.
No ordinary push email would work on this phone unless that box is ticked.
i hope the above guide shall be useful to you & your customer in future.

Hey, I do not have Yahoo mail Plus, so can anyone tell me if I can setup my Yahoo mail on my X10 or I must become Yahoo mail Plus user to setup it??
